BIM and the future of AEC. ...
BIM (Building Information Modeling) is an intelligent 3D model-based course that gives MEP, Architecture, Engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals the insight and tools to more efficiently plan, design, modeling, construct, and manage buildings
Building information modeling (BIM) is a method involving the generation and management of digital representations of physical and efficient features of places.
Building information models (BIMs) are files (often but not always in proprietary formats and containing proprietary data) which can be extracted, exchanged or networked to support decision-making regarding a building or other built asset. BIM is commonly used for building design industries. Revit is one of the software, which is using under BIM. Under BIM, we have an Integrated software called Navisworks.
Current BIM software is used by individuals, businesses and government agencies who plan, design, construct, operate and maintain diverse physical infrastructures, such as water, refuse, electricity, gas, communication utilities, roads, bridges, ports, tunnels, etc.
Most of the country is now adopted for the gov submission in BIM especially in Gulf countries.
